Mogwai – 1st February 2018 – Northumbria Institute

My first gig of the year after a rather quiet winter due to illness and lack of gigs! I couldn’t have asked for a better gig to make my return. I’ve been a fan since I first heard Tracy on a Total Guitar CD back in 97/98 ish. I’d never heard anything like it.

Since then they’ve innovated like no other instrumental act, each album growing and diversifying the Mogwai sound.

Mogwai – Northumbria Institute – February 2018

We were treated to a great, but compact 90-minute set. With new songs rubbing shoulders with back catalogue classics very nicely.

  • Crossing the Road Material
  • I’m Jim Morrison, I’m Dead
  • Party in the Dark
  • New Paths to Helicon, Pt. 1
  • Ithica 27ø9
  • Rano Pano
  • Battered at a Scramble
  • Every Country’s Sun
  • Don’t Believe the Fife
  • Remurdered
  • Mogwai Fear Satan
  • Old Poisons
  • I Know You Are But What Am I?
  • We’re No Here

It’s the stuff of dreams to be able to photo the band. I feel really honoured 🙂 Not surprisingly I got carried away, so here’s loads and loads of photos. Enjoy 🙂
