Out Lines – 1st February 2018 – Northumbria Institute
My first gig of the year after a rather quiet winter. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard Out Lines were opening for Mogwai. Those who know me will know that Mogwai are one of my favourite bands, I’m forever at gigs in Mogwai tees! They have a knack of bringing the best support acts. Back in 2010/11 ish they played Gateshead Sage, with some band called The Twilight Sad given the honour of opening on that tour. That night, incredibly they stole the show and I became a huge fan, seeing them all over the UK. The rest is history and you probably don’t care anyway 🙂
During some TTS downtime vocalist James Graham teamed up with some rather spectacular musical talents; Kathryn Joseph and Marcus Mackay. They’re a distinctly different kettle of fish to Mogwai. This is my first time seeing them and they seemed to go down rather well with the sold-out Northumbria Uni crowd.
