I caught with with Eujenics for a photoshoot and a chat. A canny bunch of lads with musical potential. Do catch them on tour!
Sam Avery – Vox/Guitar
Chris Hanna – Guitar
David Scott – Bass
Adam Hay – Drums
What have you been up to since we last saw you opening for Heck earlier in 2016?
“Not as much as we would like, as we had a lineup change so spent the whole summer finding a singer, so we’ve spent most the time in the practice room. However, we have recorded our first single Far Stranger with this lineup and that will have a video too. Also we have just signed to Domino PR, really looking forward to working with them.”
New lineup, will this bring a different dynamic or sound to the band?
“Definitely. I think it’s just a natural progression. We feel with Sam coming in we are finally heading in the direction we all really want. It feels like we are all pulling in the same direction.”
“Well we have only played a couple in this lineup, but we played Lounge 41 in Workington, and we really enjoyed that one. Going out of your home town for gigs, especially with a new lineup can always go either way but we nailed it, and the crowd really liked us. Plenty of bad ones from old lineup but would rather not waste our breath talking about them as they are not relevant anymore.”
What is next for Eujenics?
“We are releasing our new single Far Stranger, in October/Nov with a video. It will be available on iTunes, Amazon etc..We have signed with Domino PR like we said, who we cant wait to work with. Gig wise, we are at Trillians supporting Twin Heart on 11th Oct. We are playing our own little halloween party at Little Buildings on 29th Oct. We are playing Bannermans in Edinburgh 26th Nov, before we go back into the studio December to start work on our new EP which we plan to release in Feb/March next year.”
